Who will win our collage?

It is exciting to watch with interest as bids are placed in the silent auction. Your Cup Cake Creation is proving very popular. Who will be the one to place the final bid on Wednesday at 3:30p.m.?

Our Arts Week combined with Grandparent Day was very popular and it was certainly inspiring to wander the Art Trail to discover what everybody else across the school had been creating.

With just four more days of school this week (Teacher Only Day on Friday) we look forward to viewing your published inquiries on Wednesday.

Congratulations to our adopt-a-team country Tonga. What a spectacular victory over France.

Three Way Conferences

Thank you to the parents and children of Room 28 who have attended our three way conferences either today Thursday or on Tuesday. It was great to see the children conducting the conferences and using their Reflective Journal Power Point as a prompt to lead their discussion. Mrs McConnell and Mrs Jamieson are very proud of you.
It is a very busy time for us however we are delighted to celebrate your successes and reflect on your goals.

Cupcake Creations

Why are Room 28 creating cupcakes? Having viewed a range of effective art and being presented with options for what our class montage could be this year, the children made the decision they wanted to decorate cupcakes.

For their home learning at the beginning of the week the children all sketched a design for what they wanted their cupcake to look like. They brought this sketch, along with an ingredient list to school on Wednesday. Mrs McConnell baked double the amount of cupcakes required and purchased all the decoration items.

Thursday was creating day and what an industrious scene. Butter cream icing and toppings everywhere!!! Each child made a sample and then a second.

The preferred cupcakes have now been photographed and consumed. We look forward to seeing the montage that will be the result of this process.

The montage will be part of the silent auction during our Arts Week in week 9. Do you need a new piece of art? We recommend you come along and check out all the fabulous art created by the classes in our school.
